With the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ being the first-ever tournament hosted in the Middle East, unveiling the FIFA World Cup™ Winners Trophy over a year in advance required a strategic approach to build excitement and anticipation. The challenge was to create a campaign that engaged the public, showcased Qatar’s readiness as a host nation, and highlighted GWC’s logistical excellence—all while ensuring the trophy’s presence resonated as a symbol of pride and inspiration.
Solution
A 360-degree campaign was launched, combining physical activations and digital strategies to captivate audiences across Qatar. GWC organized a dedicated forum to showcase its state-of-the-art logistics capabilities, underscoring its pivotal role in supporting the FIFA World Cup™. To enhance public engagement, a RoboKeeper—a futuristic goalkeeping robot—was installed, allowing attendees to enjoy an interactive football experience and build excitement for the tournament. Additionally, the trophy was displayed at key locations, including GWC’s Regional Logistics Hub and Logistics Village Qatar, offering people the rare chance to physically witness the iconic symbol of football glory. This blend of interactive experiences, logistical demonstrations, and social media amplification successfully generated enthusiasm, established Qatar’s readiness, and reinforced GWC’s leadership as a trusted logistics partner.
